Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers was born on December 2nd, 1983, in Chico, California. Rodgers went to Pleasant Valley High School in Chico, starting for two years as quarterback. Aaron set single-game records of 6 touchdowns and 440 all-purpose yards. Rodgers also set a single season record with 2,466 total yards in 2001 and graduated in the spring of 2002. He attended Butte Community College in Oroville. During his freshman season(2002), Rodgers was discovered by California head coach Jeff Tedford. Rodgers was selected by the Green Bay Packers to be their backup quarterback, behind Brett Favre. He was in this position from 2005 to 2007, until Brett retired from the team on march 4th, 2008. He has been playing with the Packers ever since then, and he has now led the team to the next Superbowl.

Ben Roethlisberger

the Superbowl is coming up, probably not when this is getting published, but nonetheless, I am writing about one of the players going into the Superbowl. this article is about Ben Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger was born in Lima, Ohio, on March 2nd, 1982. Ben went to Findlay High school in Findlay, Ohio, where he was the captain of the football, basketball, and baseball teams! Roethlisberger did not play quarterback until his senior year, instead, Roethlisberger played wide receiver. Ben then went on to college. Roethlisberger played college quarterback at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Ben played just three years before joining the NFL. Ben got drafted to the Pittsburgh Steelers. On August 4, 2004, he signed a six-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers, worth $22.26 million in salaries and bonuses. On March 4, 2008, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Roethlisberger agreed to an eight-year, $102 million contract. he has played ever since 2004 for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Including winning one year in the Superbowl, and going in 2011 for the Superbowl with the Steelers.

Johnny Damon

Damon was born on November 5, 1973 in Fort Riley, Which was an army base in Kansas. Damon attended Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida, and of many awards, got awarded as the Florida Gatorade Player of the Year in his senior year of High school (1992). Johnny's Major league Debut was on August 12, 1995, When he played for the Kansas city Royals. He played for the Royals from 1995 to 2000. Damon spent 2001 with the Oakland Athletics. And then he was signed to the Boston Red Sox on December 21, 2001. Damon Played for them from 2002 to 2005. On December 20, 2005, Damon signed a contract with the New York Yankees. Johnny played for the Yankees from 2006 to 2009, another 4-year contract. On February 22, 2010, Damon agreed to a one year deal with the Detroit Tigers. And then, at the end of the 2010 season, Damon became a free agent.

Cliff Lee

Cliff Lee was born on August 30th, 1978. For high school, Lee attended Benton high school in his hometown of Benton, Arkansas. He then went to Meridian Community College in Mississippi. He pretty much started in the bigger leagues of baseball by being traded in 2002 to the Cleveland Indians. Lee played for the Indians from 2002 to 2009. that year being the year he was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies on July 29th. He played for the Phills and helped them win the 2009 world series. Then, on December 16, 2009, the Phillies traded Lee to the Seattle Mariners. On July 9 of 2010 Lee was traded to the Texas Rangers. And now, Finally Cliff Lee signs back to the Philadelphia Phillies On December 15, 2010.

Roy Halladay

Roy grew up in Denver Colorado, in the suburb of Arvada. Ever since he was a kid he loved to play baseball. He liked every position on the field, but he mainly succeeded on the pitchers mound. when he was a round 13 years of age he trained with the legendary baseball guru known as Bus Campbell. In 1995 Halladay graduated from Arvada west high school, and was was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the amateur draft. He played for the Toronto Blue Jays from 1998-2009, a span of Eleven whole years! Then on December 15th, 2009, Halladay got signed to the Philadelphia Philies! On the first day of Roy playings on the phills, he pitched for seven long innings!
